Lori Coventry, CPDT-KA
716-947-9052

Lori has always had a soft spot in her heart for dogs with "issues."  Her interest in training began when she adopted her dog, Xander.  He had more behavior issues than any dog she adopted previous and she did everything she could to help him.  She began taking as many classes she could and reading every dog training book she could get her hands on.  But everything changed when she started attending seminars.  Lori attends several seminars every year put on by nationally and internationally known trainers and behaviorists.  The more she learns, the more she wants to spread her knowledge to others having the same problems with their dogs.  She teaches two classes as SDTC, Nervous Nellies and Impulse Control.  She also does private sessions.  Lori is also involved with Dog Scouts of America.  She is a co-troop leader and certified Scoutmaster for the first DSA troop in New York State, Western New York Positive Pups.  Lori currently shares her home with two adopted dogs, Xander and Daisy.  She has CGCs on her dogs and has had a therapy dog.  She is an occasional foster home and is pet first aid certified.

Evie has been training, showing and teaching obedience for over 30 years.  I have shown my Irish Water Spaniels in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, and Agility.  I have also had poodles, Pointers, German Shorthairs, Bassets and German Shepherds.   My first love is obedience.   I am an AKC /CKC Obedience judge for all classes in addition I judge Rally.  Over the years I have attended workshops and seminars and use what works for the individual dog.

I believe dog training is about building a relationship with your dog.    Each dog and handler is unique, the key to success is to communicate and teach the dog in a positive manner. In these classes we will develope groundwork skills, evaluate progress and fine tune the dog and handler for the ring .
